Qualities of a Good Designer

Be a good designer must have two qualities. The first quality is that keeping a young heart to observe everything. For example, I know a friend that works in a Graphic Design Company. At the beginning, his works were appreciated, but after two months he was requested to change to some different styles. However, his working life was full of frustration. Because I was his good friend, I understood he lacked for a important thing- a curious heart. I encouraged him to spend more times observing everything about his environment and nature. In addition, I pushed him finding an interesting element, and adding it into his design. Finally, he created a perfect and new production he had never done before.
The second quality a good designer must have is that regarding "design" as "life". On the other hand, do not think design as your job. For instance, one of my friends working in a Anime Company complained his job everyday. Although he loved anime, he hated the company demanded him to do works that don't conform with his sense of beauty. It is a bad mindset for a good designer. Any design stytle designer has to try and enjoy it's advantage. Therefore, you must regard design as part of your life. To sum up, a good designer needs to learn a curious heart and designing everything as usual.
